POSITION/LEVEL: Residential Leasing Consultant
REPORTS TO: Residential Property Manager
JOB SUMMARY AND DISTINGUISHING FEATURES OF THE WORK:
The Leasing Consultant is responsible for the hands-on leasing of Developer-owned residential apartments in a mixed-use development in Downtown Chattanooga (Market City Center).
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
Education and Experience:
- Strong computer skills with Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, Outlook and ability to learn new applications quickly.
- Must be detail oriented with excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Must be punctual, self-motivated and have the ability to resolve conflicting issues
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Conducts and maintains competitive surveys
- Respond to all inquiries, qualify the prospect; conduct tours, follow up and manage the lease process including background and credit checks, Lease and appropriate addendum preparation and finalization
- Understands the importance of good tenant relations through outstanding customer service in order to foster opportunities to ensure tenant retention
- Communicates promptly and effectively with tenants, team members and disseminates information as needed
- Update apartments online sites such as Zillow and Apartments.com
- Attend networking event
IMPORTANT JOB FUNCTIONS:
- The schedule for this position is; Monday-Friday and the 1st and 3rd Saturdays 9 am- 5 pm
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
Knowledge of:
- Fair Housing
- Basic property management tools and skills
Skilled in:
- Organizational and interpersonal skills
- The ability to meet deadlines, accomplish work in order of priority; professionally maintain composure & effectiveness under pressure and changing conditions
- Self-motivation, leadership, teamwork and collaboration.
- Basic computer/technical skills to operate mobile computing or communications devices

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
